Annual Hike for Hospice Renfrew 2026!
It’s Time to Grab Your Runners! Create a Team & Gather Pledges!!
Hike for Hospice is a major fundraiser for Hospice Renfrew, it is a wonderful opportunity to bring together hundreds of like-minded people, individuals who appreciate why Hospice Renfrew was established: to provide Comfort, Care and Compassion to those who are nearing their end-of-life journey.
Each year we welcome returning teams and new teams made up of family and friends walking or running in memory of loved ones. Proceeds from the Hike For Hospice help assist with our operating costs and we encourage every one of you to support this event in whatever way you can. Of course, the best way is to get a team together, gather pledges and come out and join the hundreds of others participating. It’s a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in May.
Event registration starts at 12:00 p.m., there are displays and activities for the kids. Group/team pictures will take place in front of the Hospice Renfrew sign before the hike and run begins. Bacon on the Bun will be available (starting at 2:30 pm), $6 each or 2/$10 and only cash payment is available. The runners start at 1:55 p.m. and hike starts at 2 p.m. from Hospice Renfrew, 459 Albert Street. The runners participate in a timed run to Ma-te-way Park (myFM Centre) and back to Hospice Renfrew. The hike is a nice leisurely walk of about one hour through downtown Renfrew to Low Square and returns to Hospice Renfrew. After the runners and hikers return, prizes will be awarded, and the tally of the pledges will be announced.

Instructions for Creating A Team And Editing A Team
You can edit your peer-to-peer fundraising page in your Zeffy donor account. When you register to participate in a nonprofit’s peer-to-peer fundraiser as either a team or an individual, you will have the opportunity to edit your fundraising page as soon as it is created on the confirmation page or you can update it via email at the email you registered with a link to your fundraising page. In that email, you will also have a link to activate your Zeffy account. To update your fundraiser page (add a photo, edit the text, etc.):

- Follow the link in your email to log into your Zeffy account.
- Click on “Edit” next to the name of your form.
- Edit the different sections of your form and don’t forget to save your changes. From your form editor, you can:

- Edit the title of your form.
- Change the $ objective of your campaign.
- Personalize the description of your campaign on your form. **Remember to add your description for your team.
- Add a photo and banner to your form and customize the main color of your campaign. ** Remember to upload a picture to your banner.
- Personalize the thank you note that will automatically be sent to your donors when they contribute to your form.
