Save the date for the Aikenhead’s Hospice Classic August 17, 2018

$35000 raised for Hospice Renfrew

The 11th Annual Aikenhead’s Hospice Classic was played on August 11, 2017 under the beautiful skies overlooking the Renfrew Golf Club. Dave Wilson, Golf Course Superintendent, had the golf course in pristine condition after the large rainfall the night before.

The efforts of the committee, sponsors, volunteers and players were able to raise $35000 for Hospice Renfrew. Maureen Sullivan-Benz, Executive Director stated that this would cover the water and hydro bills for a year! An amazing effort by all of the staff at the club under the direction of Kevin Sebulski resulted in having 156 players on and off the course, fed, prizes given and on their way home hours before nightfall.  Leonard Lewis of Renfrew was the lucky $3000 draw winner. The lowest scoring team was the mixed team of Dan Buch, MJ Buch, Morgan Buch and Cooper Brown scoring a 56. The men’s team from Apotex : Tom Van Natter, Gord Davies, Doug Kinna and Paul Chow came in second with a score of 59.  The ladies’ team of Patty Brydges, Vi Rossy, Sheila Kemp and Simonne Kemp tied with a 72 and won by retrogression. We are looking forward to the 12th Annual on August 17, 2018.

A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THAT MADE THIS DAY POSSIBLE!
