Christmas came early for Hospice Renfrew when the generous people of Renfrew County and surrounding areas donated over $52,000 during Valley Heritage Radios Holly Jolly Radiothon.
This success was the result of the hard work of many people including Jason Marshall, Station Manager and the Board and staff from Valley Heritage radio who organized and promoted this event. Art Jamieson, Master of Ceremonies did a wonderful job promoting our Hospice, and sharing personal tributes, and accolades from family, staff and volunteers. As well, many local musicians donated their time and talent with four hours of entertainment that kept toes tapping, hands clapping and people dancing!
Our Hospice is very dependent on community support, and it is overwhelming to know that the hard work of our staff and volunteers is so appreciated. Funds raised during this event will allow us to continue offering comprehensive end-of-life care and respite services to families across our region, completely free of charge.
On behalf of the Hospice Board of Directors, staff, volunteers and most importantly, the families who need our help, a big thank-you to everyone who took part in the Holly Jolly Radiothon. We are truly blessed to live in such a caring and generous community.
May each and every one of you have a safe and happy Christmas and a peaceful and healthy New Year.
